Hello and welcome to my EDUP3008 Reflective Scrapbook! My name is Yvette and I am currently in my 3rd year at the University of Sydney studying a Bachelor of Primary Education, which I am thoroughly enjoying! This blog is for the EDUP3008 Creative Arts subject we are studying at the moment.

I am a strong advocate for the arts and believe that they are a vital part of the classroom in order for effective learning to take place. I think that we should use technology to our advantage and create a classroom environment that appeals to children and really invites them to learn. Technology is definitely growing rapidly and will continue to in the future, as you can see by this blog itself! We, as teachers of the future, must then utilize technology to its full potential and ensure it has a time and place in our classrooms as there is so much that can be explored and it is right at our fingertips. 


My blogs will be specifically about my experiences in each of the EDUP3008 tutorials, which will include entries from each the creative art-forms: Drama, Visual Arts and Media Arts. Each entry will also incorporate a critical reflection of the arts experience that will be supported by educational readings and implications for myself as a primary teacher in the future.
